Om Tat Sat

The space in which galaxies arise and dissolve, the space in which atoms dance, the space inside a proton, where gravity waves churn and neutrinos streak like shooting stars, the space in the mind where a thousand chattering thoughts appear and disappear without significance - all the same space, the same pure silence...
The space where anger and love, giddiness and sorrow, grief and solace, desire and fulfillment appear, then disappear, without any 'me' to claim them as 'mine'...

The space more majestic with royal contentment than any kingdom, the space more humble in its emptiness than any mote of dust - the same pure space...

Is this space vast or infinitesimal? Is it gain or loss? Wealth or poverty? Is this space the path or the goal? Is it 'you' or 'I'? Is it inner space, or outer space? These questions do not arise here - for this space is one, pure, and free from thoughts...
Can it be bought or sold? Can it be claimed as the dominion of any religion, any guru, any practice? Can this space be contained in a concept? Can it be kept secret?
Can this space be pressed from the berry, or fermented into wine? Does it need to be enlightened or changed into anything higher? Is the clarity of this space not its own supreme inebriation?
How could this space be known, when it is the container of all knowledge? You dwell in this space, as this space, prior to a single thought arising, even the thought of "I."

The moment you wake up in the morning, this space is your very innocence, just before the mind of yesterday returns like a serpent to your garden, whispering, "You must believe in your thoughts..."
This space is freedom from the past and the future. It is pure awareness, truly, your own pure awareness.
This space is unbounded, self-luminous, spontaneously liberated. This space is unfathomable darkness, refulgent with the brightness before light. This space is the womb of the mother of bliss. Christ is born here. Krishna dances here. All Buddhas repose here, formless seeds of divine form...

Truly, this space is your own awareness. Absolutely hollow, yet billowing with softness, with sweetness, with the treasure of perfect joy, delighting without effort in its own nature, which is wondrous peace, truly, this space is your Self.

'Tat Tvam Asi.' You are That. 'Om Tat Sat.' All this is That. Truly, friend, this space is your Self.

What are you seeking?

I am always so amazed at how much of this deep, rhythmic, tantric verse flows out of you... loving this piece and am very often very moved by your work.

My Placeless Place piece is a little reminiscent of your Om Tat Sat. http://theeyeofthei.blogspot.com/2013/11/the-pregnant-space.html

Thank you for the ways in which you allow this work to flow from you... keep it up...and I'll keep enjoying!!!

With love and appreciation,
