The radical act
is to be present.
is to breath.
Stars and flowers
do not shout.
Sing softly, my heart.
Beneath the pleasures and torments of our world is a continuum of awakening - an empty mirror underlying its reflections. Whatever disturbances appear, the nature of the mirror remains untainted stillness, clarity, and immaculate peace.
We don't need to construct a "higher self" or a "happy face" that denies the pain, the world-weary anger, the devastating loss we feel this very moment. We just need to open, without resistance.
Open to your darkness, breathing every chafing sand grain into your heart's softness. Embrace each jagged edge and splinter of the shattered whole. Open deep to the core, until you touch the one who is opening.
Unconditional vulnerability is invincible power. When we touch our hollow groundless center, the broken stem that seemed so heavy with the toxins of human experience suddenly blossoms into weightless expanse. Why? Because we no longer experience the content of our awareness, but Awareness itself.
Open Awareness is not a miracle or "higher" plane, but merely what is. Requiring no belief, no transformation, no journey, open awareness is the simple grace of being awake.
Yet this untainted mirror transforms whatever it reflects, drowns each fleeting image in the imageless ocean of love.
