Rend

One breath
gently rends the veil
between the vision
and its nerve,
who you are and who
you thought you were.
Just pay a little more
attention to what flows
in and out.
A new creation begins
the moment you stop
blaming others.
They are not responsible
for this body,
which was whirling,
glittering in distant stars
before you were conceived.
Now walk softly
on the planet,
not like an owner
but a guest.
If you don't know how
to become hollow,
how can you be filled with music?
