One Reason
I came only for one reason,
to tell you the Creator
is a radiant golden sun
rising in your chest,
and this very breath
is a Goddess dancing
in the wilderness of your flesh.
They meet in the Bridal Chamber,
a scented ineffable stillness
where He pours Her
into your grail of darkness.
The nectar overflows, nourishing
the garden of names, your body.
This selfsame vintage spilled
into Mary's womb, sending out
tendrils and leaves on a
trellis of bone.
Did you imagine this fragrance
would end at the edge of the meadow?
Did you imagine the rootstock
at the center of your vineyard
was a reed that plays no melody
when the wind blows?
This is why you are hollow, friend.
The sound is magnified
by caverns of silence and blood
deep beneath your breastbone.
Your music makes the world
green again.
