Perhaps you should ask,
what is God's spiritual practice?
I Am.
The pulse of my heartbeat
is the name of the Friend.
The silence flowing 
through my breath 
is the Holy Spirit.
This body is the garden 
where Magdalene meets Jesus 
at dawn.
Do they kiss? They kiss.
Wisdom and Ecstasy, twin serpents 
uncoiling, twirling up 
the tree of life, my spine, 
sweet star clusters
hanging from these limbs.
The lips of the Beloved
repeat my name 
so softly, I Am 
God's spiritual practice.
