A Poem that Spilled Out of Meditation One Morning

Rest the mind in the heart.

She will guide you there,

Our Lady of this Breath.

To the manger, the birthplace,

She will guide you.

And you will refresh
the whole creation

by resting in that place

where the world arises

as a wave
of your perceiving it.

This ripple of joy

in the ocean of gratitude.

If you think these are

just words, friend,

you haven't been there

to that silence, that

billowing stillness.

You're just reading.

Now rest

the mind in the heart.

She will guide you there,

Our Lady of this Breath.
