Thank You Little Creature

At the quantum level of energy, every wave-particle is a vibration of the entire cosmic field. Therefore my heart contains all the light that is, was, or ever shall be. So does yours.

But the
human mind works with methodical desperation to deny this fact, constructing elaborate arguments to justify our finite, dis-eased, and victimized condition. The mind cannot endure the paradox: while I am a boundless continuum of light extending in all directions at once, I am also an infinitesimal particle, a photon of the very glow that surrounds and contains me.

Thus
the Upanishads declare, "Ano-raniyan Mahato-mahiyan: One atom of the smallest is greater than the greatest." While the mind cannot endure the paradox, the eye of the heart sees it clearly. Passing through and within the subtlest, most interior dimension of the microcosm, I explode into the macrocosm and embrace the All.

The
visionary poet William Blake taught, in fact, that the only way to embrace the All is to descend into “the minutest particular.” We are not called to merge with a vast undifferentiated collective, but to become a uniquely granulated self. I am a singular embodiment, yet all heaven worlds and galactic clusters hang as ripening globes of sweetness in the arbor of my nervous system.

God and I must come to an understanding: we are one yet two, Lover and Beloved, for the sake of Love. Those who insist on being only One and Non-dual are like plastic flowers trying to thrive in the noonday sun, with no root in the darkness of the rich moist loam.

It takes some compost and rot, some fet
o
r of duality, to make fertilize Oneness. Death is the spice of life. The compost consists of the dead, the ancestors and their bodies, passing through countless generations of maggots, just as it takes darkness to engender the stars.

There is a fountain of splendor in my chest. It not only nourishes creation, but the Creator. God thirsts for my rapture. When my body quietly overflows with gratitude and joy, God drinks from the chalice of my bellybutton, whispering, "Mmmmmm, thank you,
little creature. This is why I became You."
