Durgamba: The Goddess and the Lion

 

Love, Healing, Beauty, and Abundance bubble up from pure of Silence. The qualities manifest in our lives when we tap into that Silence, which is the field of Durgamba.

Durga is the Goddess. Amba means Mother. The field of Durgamba is Mother Divine. And that field lies intimately within us as pure awareness, aware of awareness. In Self-reflection, awareness ignites itself as divine Light. 


In true Silence, living Silence, we merge with the tender grace of Divine Mother, igniting the radiance that created the universe.

In ancient Vedic symbolism, why is Durga shown riding a lion? Because our gentlest breath controls and rides the roaring lion of cosmic creative energy. The gentlest impulse of a mother's love can move the world. 

The almighty organizing power of natural law, governing all the equations of physics, and all the apparent mutations of evolution, is tamed in the subtlest quietest core of your heart. In your own chest, Mother Durga is a silent glow. Yet that gentle power stirs, through its intention, great miracles.

Enter the seed and nurture it, through humble effortless surrender. This is meditation. You are the seed of a new creation. And what is the work of a seed? To glow with life. The mighty oak tree already exists in the acorn. The new earth already exists in a wordless vibration of love. This vibration is not in some metaphysical plane beyond your body. Its energy already glows from the cells, from the atoms of your flesh.

You can heal the world from the quietest intention of the heart. This glow seems like almost nothing, but it is everything. The warmth of Durgamba is ever so soft, but unbounded, emanating from infinitesimal vibrations, quarks and neutrinos in your DNA, weaving your atoms and molecules into the physiology of light.

This light will overflow the grail of every cell, and radiant from your body to fill the cosmos with glory. Thus Jesus declared, "When the Eye is One (awareness aware its own essence), your whole body is filled with light... You are the light of the world."
